As a result of business closure, Siemerink BV Tank and Equipment Manufacture is auctioning its complete assortment of machinery — including an LVD press brake, LVD guillotine shear and SAF plasma cutting machine — on the Troostwijk Auctions online platform. The auction is currently open for bidding, and closes at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday 30 January 2024.
Siemerink BV in Geertruidenberg, the Netherlands, is a family business with a history dating back to 1676. The founder, a blacksmith, chose to specialise in making waffle irons. The company later specialised in the construction of storage tanks, becoming a major player in the tank and equipment manufacturing industry. At its peak the company employed fifty staff members, but in recent years it has become increasingly difficult for Siemerink BV to find qualified personnel in this changing industry. Owner Annemarie Siemerink, in close collaboration with Mercon in Gorinchem, has therefore decided to transfer the design and production of storage tanks to Mercon-Siemerink BV and halt the remaining production.

Due to the closure of the company, the complete assortment of remaining machinery from Siemerink BV is being auctioned through Troostwijk Auctions. This includes an LVD press brake, LVD guillotine shear, SAF plasma cutting machine, Kemppi welding fume extraction system, various overhead cranes, welding trolleys and tools. And not to be missed is the iconic gantry crane on the outside premises, still proudly displaying the name Siemerink high above Geertruidenberg.
