PRESS RELEASE
18 November 2024, Hengelo

Reesink Production B.V. will permanently close its doors at the end of 2024. All of the company’s machinery, parts inventory, and workshop equipment will be auctioned online through Troostwijk Auctions. Bidding will open on Friday, 15 November 2024 at 2:00 PM and the auction will close on Tuesday, 2 December 2024 at 2:00 PM.

In 2017, Royal Reesink acquired the operating companies of Staja, branding this division as Reesink Production B.V. From that point onwards, Reesink Production B.V. focused on the production of high-quality steel components, assembled semi-finished products, and fully assembled machines for European OEM manufacturers. The company was also responsible for manufacturing and marketing KAWECO machines.

‘Business closure is the only responsible path’
In the autumn of 2024, Royal Reesink decided to cease operations at Reesink Production B.V. “Reesink Production has been operating at a loss, and current market conditions in the agricultural machinery manufacturing sector have further negatively impacted results,” explained John Arts, Logistics/Facility Management Project Leader, about the decision to close the business. “Additionally, Royal Reesink’s strategic focus has increasingly shifted to the distribution and servicing of machines. As a result, the production activities of Reesink Production B.V. no longer align with core operations. Efforts to find a buyer were unsuccessful, making business closure the only responsible course of action.”

‘Troostwijk has experience and a strong reputation’
Due to the closure, agricultural and metalworking machines, parts inventory, and workshop equipment from Reesink Production B.V. will be auctioned by Troostwijk Auctions. “After comparing three potential auction houses, we chose Troostwijk for their experience and strong reputation,” Arts explained.

Jan Blokhuis, Account Manager at Troostwijk Auctions, is closely involved with the auction. “Reesink Production B.V. has been a major player in manufacturing and marketing agricultural machinery for both the Dutch and European markets. We anticipate significant interest in this auction from across Europe and beyond. Troostwijk Auctions’ extensive international reach makes this possible.”

Agricultural and Metalworking Machines, Parts, and more
“This auction is a must for every KAWECO machine user, as every imaginable part will be included,” said Blokhuis. The auction will feature items such as KAWECO slurry tanks, fertiliser spreaders, tyres and wheels, hydraulic components, axles, parts and equipment for manufacturing slurry tanks, silage wagons, mini loaders, and grassland injectors.

In addition to machinery, parts inventory, and workshop equipment, Reesink Production B.V.'s office inventory will also be auctioned. This includes sit/stand desks, chairs, roller shutter cabinets, meeting tables, and cameras.
