Oldenzaal, the Netherlands, 21 May 2026 – The assets of Uitslag B.V., a Dutch model and mould maker based in Oldenzaal, in the eastern Netherlands near the German border, are currently being auctioned online via Troostwijk Auctions. The bankruptcy marks the end of a company with deep roots in Twente, a region known for its manufacturing and engineering heritage. Through the online auction, metalworking and woodworking machinery, tools, company vehicles, workshop equipment and office inventory will be given a new destination.
Uitslag B.V., formerly known as Model- en Matrijzenmakerij Twente, was founded in 1978 out of a passion for the craft of model making. Founder Rudie Uitslag developed his professional skills at the Dikkers machine factories in Hengelo, another industrial town in the eastern Netherlands and a well-known name in the region’s high-quality technical industry. Under the leadership of his successor, Mirko Uitslag, the company further developed into a specialist in models, moulds and engineering.
The auction comprises 261 lots. These include high-quality CNC machining equipment, such as a Zimmermann 5-axis portal milling machine and DMG Mori CNC machining centres, as well as tools, workshop equipment, transport vehicles, stock and office inventory. The lots are located in Oldenzaal and are being offered on behalf of the bankruptcy trustee.
Craftmanship from a Dutch manufacturing region
Uitslag operated at the intersection of traditional model-making craftsmanship and modern production technology. The company specialised in models, moulds, castings, engineering, serial production and 3D printing. In doing so, it played a role in a highly specialised part of the manufacturing industry, where customisation, technical expertise and close collaboration with clients are essential.
“Companies such as Uitslag show how much knowledge, craftsmanship and capital come together in a single workshop,” says Sjoerd Baars, Account Manager Insolvency at Troostwijk Auctions. “Especially in the context of a bankruptcy, it is important that these assets are presented carefully and transparently to the widest possible group of potential buyers. In this way, we contribute to achieving the best possible result, while giving machines and materials the opportunity to create value again elsewhere.”
Manufacturing sector under pressure
The bankruptcy does not stand alone in a sector that has been under pressure for some time. Recent figures from the Dutch Employee Insurance Agency UWV show that 30% of industrial employers cite insufficient demand for products as their main obstacle. This has now become a greater bottleneck than staff shortages. UWV points, among other things, to the economic downturn in Germany, rising production costs, high energy prices, international trade tensions and broader economic uncertainty.
Industrial companies are also experiencing increasing uncertainty. Around 80% of companies in the Dutch industrial sector indicated in 2025 that they had experienced more economic uncertainty in the previous twelve months. This uncertainty is leading to higher costs, lower demand and the postponement or reduction of investments.
At the same time, demand for high-quality machinery and specialist workshop equipment remains. For buyers in the Netherlands and abroad, the auction offers an opportunity to acquire used machines and business assets and deploy them again within their own production environments.
Online bidding until 28 May
The online auction of Uitslag B.V. is being held via Troostwijk Auctions. The first lots will close on 28 May. Interested buyers can view the lots and place bids online via Troostwijk Auctions.
