More than 300 lots from the long-running Dutch musical are being auctioned online by Troostwijk Auctions
Amsterdam, 14 August 2026 - Following the final performance of Soldaat van Oranje – De Musical, Troostwijk Auctions is auctioning 306 lots from the production. The online auction opens on 14 August at 4.00 pm and closes on 31 August from 7.00 pm.The auction includes distinctive set pieces, props, furniture, lighting and other theatre inventory used in and around the production.
Among the lots are a replica Bentley, a three-metre decorative motorboat, a red telephone box, a reproduction portrait of Queen Wilhelmina, a piano, a Ludwig & Ludwig drum kit, a gramophone, typewriters, suitcases, chandeliers and military-style spotlights.The objects formed part of one of the most successful theatre productions in Dutch history.
Soldaat van Oranje – De Musical gave its final performance on 12 July 2026 after nearly sixteen years. During that period, the production welcomed more than four million visitors across 3,967 performances and featured 29 different casts.
“These objects were part of a production that captured the imagination of millions of visitors. The auction gives them the opportunity to find a new owner and a new purpose. We expect interest from theatre enthusiasts and collectors, as well as businesses and interior professionals in the Netherlands and abroad,” says Clarissa Berner, Account Manager at Troostwijk Auctions.
Viewing by appointment only
Potential bidders may view the lots in Valkenburg on Friday 21 August between 9.00 am and 12.00 noon. Viewing is strictly by prior appointment and is not open to the general public. Visitors must be aged 18 or over and present valid identification. Appointments can be requested via aanmelden@troostwijkauctions.com.
Bidding is open from 4.00 pm on Friday 14 August. The auction closes on Monday 31 August from 7.00 pm.
