Following the bankruptcy of Euro Shoe Group, which trades under the name Bristol, the entire inventory of its logistics distribution centre and offices will be auctioned via Troostwijk Auctions. Bids can be placed until Thursday, 24 October 2024. The auction closes at 2 pm.
Belgium's Euro Shoe Group, the company behind the well-known shoe and clothing chain Bristol, had been in bad shape for years. This autumn marks the end for the company, as the court has declared it bankrupt. Consequently, the inventory from the company's distribution centre and offices will be auctioned via Troostwijk Auctions' online platform.

The auction will also feature a variety of office equipment. About Euro Shoe Group
The bankruptcy brings an end to a family business founded in 1925, when the Vanaudenhove family opened a small shoe shop in Diest, Belgium. The company continued to grow, and at its peak, Euro Shoe Group had more than 400 stores. In 1991, the Euro Shoe Group also acquired the Dutch chains Bristol and Van Woensel.
The coronavirus crisis, with the mandatory closure of stores, was a major blow to the company. Combined with the shift of consumers to online shopping and increasing rent and energy costs, the company ultimately could not stay afloat.
